Biography

Yang is interested in how humans reason about emotion or affect, an emerging research domain called Affective Cognition. She investigates affective cognition in humans from infancy to adulthood, using interdisciplinary approaches including behavioral experiments, exploratory play, and computational modeling. Yang received her postdoctoral training at Stanford University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Cognitive Science at MIT in 2018 and her B.S. in Psychology at Peking University in 2012.
