Current Projects

  1. The study of children who have been exposed to childhood trauma and are currently high functioning. While the general characteristics of so-called resilient children have been identified the processes underlying resilience and the conditions under which it is manifest has yet to be determined. Our present work is aimed at understanding these processes and their relation to subsequent coping with stress over the developmental spectrum.
  2.

  3. Continued development of tools, methodology and training for the professionals involved in the assessment of parenting capacity.
  4.

  5. Outreach programs for delivering essentials of theory and research in the field of child development relevant to parenting applications. Currently we are exploring a variety of approaches to bring this information to public attention in a way that is immediately useful to individual parents.
